A picture’s worth a thousand words.

But these images, shot by photographer Farrokh Chothia, might just be worth a whole book.

Farrokh (aka FC), has been shooting for  27 years. He started in Bombay when the business of fashion photography was in its infancy. There was limited access to fashion, no stylists and just maybe a makeup artist if it was a good day.

This may have been a good thing in hindsight according to FC. As a result of the limitations, “You tried to make your pictures powerful with other devices.”

For FC this translates into images of women whose strength and beauty jump out at you. He shoots women to accentuate their power and physique. The result is stunning. No wonder all of Bollywood wants their picture taken by Farrokh Chothia.
