Republic of Brown Celebrates One Year of Indo-Cool Hunting!

Today’s a good day.

A year ago we launched Republic of Brown – the insider’s guide to Indo-cool delivered to you in a straightforward, easy-to-read email, with a little flavor.

The idea is simple. We scour the planet for all the cool things Indians are doing so you can enjoy some fantastic finds just by opening your email. In one year we’ve delivered 53 stories – bringing you music, authors, actors, movies and people, all doing amazing things – the Sikh Rapper from Toronto, the Indian Superfood Chef from London, the Tabla Maestro from New York, and the list goes on.

Republic of Brown is now read in 135 countries. We’ve grown week after week and gotten some great press. So thank you for letting us into your busy lives.

We have ambitious plans to expand and bring you much more. And now we need your help. We are on a 30 day mission to double the Republic of Brown community. This is important for so many reasons, but mostly because we want to know that we’re delivering something of value to you.

If you’re reading this, you are the key to our growth and our success. How can you help? It’s simple  – send an email to your friends inviting them to sign up to Republic of Brown. If you like it, chances are they will too.

That’s it. Your recommendation means more to them than any social media strategy we can come up with.

So if you like what we’re doing, we ask that you take 2 minutes right now and let your friends know what you’ve already discovered – the pleasure of the unexpected in each issue of Republic of Brown. Click the Invite Your Friends button below to spread the word. Oh, and once you do, you’ll get a peak at a very cool new music video by Goldspot. The world sees it tomorrow, you get it now. Our little thanks.

The day just got infinitely better because of you.

Thank you,

Geetanjali
